چکیده

Purpose: We investigated the pathogenesis of idiopathic nephrotic syndrome (INS) by measuring effects two specific miRNAs on Th2 cells in children with this disease. Methods: After informed consent, we enrolled 20 active INS before steroid initiation, remission after therapy, and age-matched healthy controls. Flow cytometry was used to measure levels a cytometric bead array IgE, interleukin (IL)?4, IL-13. RT-PCR miR-24 miR-27 CD4 + TCD25 ? cells. PBMCs were isolated using Ficoll density gradient centrifugation, transfected different mimic or inhibitor miRNAs. expression RNAs, flow determine percentage Results: Relative controls, had higher percentages ( P < 0.05), but there no significant difference controls remission. The plasma IL-4, IL-13 significantly increased 0.05). There lower non-atopic Transfection experiments indicated that upregulation each miRNA decreased level IL-4 down-regulation opposite Conclusion: Children INS, without atopy, possibly related their due drift toward suppressed have critical function regulating cell INS.

Examine of Thyroid Function in Pediatric Nephrotic Syndrome; Tehran-Iran

Introduction In children with nephrotic syndrome, it is probable to determine a hypothyroid state because of thyroxine (T4), tri-iodothyronine (T3) and thyroid-binding globulin loss in presence of proteinuria. Objectives: To examine thyroid function in pediatric cases of nephrotic syndrome. Methods: In a cross-sectional study, from march 2010 to march 2012, thyroid function tests were performed...

Expression Profiles of miR-93 and miR-330 in Iranian Patients with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

Background and Aims: Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is the most common adult human leukemia. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs that regulate gene expression. Research has shown that in CLL, microRNAs can have function as oncogenes or tumor suppressors. Some studies demonstrated that the expression of microRNA-93 (miR-93) and microRNA-330 (miR-330) have been changed in several can...

An Exploration of Evolution, Maturation, Expression and Function Relationships in Mir-23∼27∼24 Cluster

The study aims to explore the potential relationships of evolution, maturation, expression and function between homologous/clustered miRNAs. mir-23 ∼ 27 ∼ 24 gene cluster, including the two gene clusters (mir-23a and mir-23b) and the three miRNA gene families (mir-23, mir-27 and mir-24), was typically selected as an example. These related miRNAs show similar evolutionary patterns and various ex...

Circulating miR-193b-3p and miR-376a-3p Involved in Iranian Patients with Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an inflammatory disease that affects the central nervous system. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs that are usually 18-24 nucleotides long, which may have a pivotal role in the expansion of many complex diseases. The objective of this study was to evaluate the transcript levels of miR-193b-3p and miR-376a-3p in relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) ...

مقایسه میزان بیان miR-106a، miR-24 و miR-107 بین دوقلوهای همسان در سنین مختلف

Background and Objective: Aging like many complex traits is the result of interaction between genome and environmental factors and epigenetic mechanisms as a central connector links these two markers. So far, investigations on age-related characteristics and biomarkers predicting survival and risk of death have been carried out, none of which led to an overall consensus among the researchers. I...
